The Tax Deal Pledge Breaker.
Will the signers of the Pledge To America please stand up?

What did the GOP “Pledge To America” actually say, that pertains to the Tax Deal just announced, after closed-door meetings with Comrade Obama, peace be upon him?
Among other things, it pledged these things:
- Permanently stop all job killing tax hikes
- Act immediately to reduce spending
- Cut government spending to pre-stimulus, pre-bail-out levels
- Read the Bill
- Advance Legislative Issues one at a time
… to which our GOP leaders proudly and publicly affixed their signatures. They did so with great political fanfare.
I submit that their signatures signify nothing; they are less than worthless. They may be deemed by some to be treacherous. We have got to get all of the old time, long-term, professional politicians the hell out of office. This is not just an initial shake-down cruise we’re on here; this is a battle for the life of the Republic.
It’s not even written yet, and it will be voted on today. It has emerged as just another tax and spend bill with lots and lots of pork and earmarks.
- New legislators not yet sworn in were specifically excluded from deliberations.
- The “Bill” isn’t even written in final form, meaning they will have to pass it to find out what’s in it. Once passed, they can just write any damned thing they want to write into it.
- It brings back the death tax, meaning death to family farms and family small businesses, which will have to be sold just to pay the death tax.
- It spends billions of dollars that we do not have and that do not exist yet, in new spending as a bribe, pure and simple, to the Marxocrats and the Obamunists.
- It extends the continuation of the current tax rates only temporarily, for two years, after which they will be allowed to hit us with a massive tax increase. Why?
- It extends current unemployment payments another 13 months. Why?
- In exchange for all these many billions in additional spending it offers a miniscule 2% tax cut for only one year. Why?
Any and all Republicans who support this deal need to be targeted for removal from office.
It gets even worse. Incoming Republican majority leader Eric Cantor from VA wants to impose single-payer nationalized health care at the same time he hopes to kill Obamacare. GOP leaders are actually supporting another health care bill mandating pre-existing condition coverage, which will, in and of itself, kill the private health insurance industry and lead to socialized medicine.
Insurance against pre-existing conditions is not insurance. It is welfare. It is the same thing as waiting until uncle Ned dies, and then taking out an insurance policy on uncle Ned, which the company has to give you, and you get the payoff. It is the same thing as waiting until you demolish your car in an accident, and then taking out an auto insurance policy, which the company has to give you, and then filing your claim. No insurance company, of any variety at all, could stay in business doing that, and Cantor knows it. He wants socialized medicine here.
The real problem here is who owns the insurance policy. The insured person should own the policy, as a matter of simple common sense. The employer owns it, and when the employment ends, the employer stops paying for it; that is the real problem here. The employee has to find other insurance and start all over again; hence, the problem. All insurance policies of any form should be handed over to and owned by the insured person, for life, or for the life of the policy.
In my view, all health insurance should be done away with, with the sole exception of health insurance for catastrophic illness, such as those conditions currently under scrutiny for the pre-existing condition problem. Diagnosis of cancer, diabetes, heart problems, etc. All any health insurance coverage for an ordinary every day doctor visit accomplishes is to raise the cost and the complexity of health care. It adds nothing whatsoever to the health or the health care of the patient. It raises the cost of the visit and it adds unnecessary complexity to the doctor’s work, and the size of his staff.
The thing that kills me the most is how grown men stand before the cameras and microphones and drone on about how extending the Bush tax cuts, in place now for a decade, will cost us money. How does doing nothing cost money? There is no tax cut here; we’re talking about not raising taxes. They have been static since post-9/11/01. The Obamunists want to raise them. I submit that not raising them costs nothing.
The claim is that they only want to raise taxes on the bourgeoisie. I mean the rich. In Obama’s language, the wealthiest Americans. Those making over $250,000. Some would put the level at $1,000,000. What’s the difference?
What they are talking about is radically raising the taxes on every single employer in America during a recession.
They think that everyone making over $1,000,000 per year is just a bourgeoisie, sitting pretty or something. But the overwhelming majority of them don’t actually get the benefit of all that money declared on their 1040 form. Farmers have to deduct the cost of tractors, buildings, heat and electric, fuel, seed, employees, etc. They have to buy chicks to raise, or piglets, or calves or whatever; they have to feed them long enough to bring them to market. The have all the costs associated with planting, harvesting, storing and shipping.
The family dry cleaner business has to pay rent, heat, electric, equipment cost and maintenance, employees, benefits, and on and on. The family restaurant has to pay for building, heat, electric, fuel, food to cook, employees, benefits, and there is no end to it.
Politicians don’t live in the real world with the rest of us. Marxist actually oppose us. They see the owners of the farms and the restaurants and the body shops and the butcher shops as hated petty bourgeoisie to be expropriated, if not liquidated.
I don’t know about you, but I have had a very long work life, which continues to this day. I have had many, many employers.
Question: Have you ever been hired by anyone who was making less than $250,000 per year?
Answer: That’s funny, neither have I.
Today’s elites are not smart enough to figure that out. I would hazard a guess that any businessman or woman making less than, say, $10,000,000 per year in all likelihood lives at a level not much different than the rest of us. The overwhelming majority of us are somewhere between $30,000 and $150,000 per year. Most millionaires, believe it or not, work for a living, and do not live nearly so high as the Marxists would have you believe. They, too, have expenses. Business expenses just happen to be significantly higher than the ordinary living expenses of the average working man.
I have had it with the professional, polished politocrats on TV, with their perfect teeth and their made-up, blow-dried perfection. They always sound so smooth, and they talk so conservative, but look closely at what they do and what they support. I’m talking about Gingrich, Huckabee, Romney, Rove, and the endless list that goes on all the shows and even talk radio. They who have supported near Marxists in opposition to Tea Party candidates, who support some version of federal government medical practice and insurance practice, who want to cut federal spending by a “doable” 10% or whatever. America has had enough experienced professional politicians for her lifetime.
There are some new kids on the block, and they need to take over the block, and to not listen to these compromising professional political twits. It’s time for the old guard to be replaced completely. Give me an un-polished, un-professional, real life representative, even with a few warts and imperfect teeth, any day. This ain’t show-biz.
Get ready for the 2012 house cleaning.

Another very good article.
Aside from a couple "Typos", all that might be added is a reference to the destruction of the concept of personal responsibility which our current governmental attitude has accomplished; and a view of government totally opposed to the principle of subsidiarity.

Well the President came back from his trip and America didn’t go through any revolution as you anticipated, and now he has compromised even on the Bush tax cuts to make this deal. Are you finally ready to concede that he is seeking a second term rather than the destruction of the constitution or something?

No. When conditions are right or opportunity presents itself, he will act in the aggressive manner of all bloody revolutionaries. Until then, he will continue to seek ways to undercut the constitution, poke, prod, antagonize and infuriate the citizenry and await open riot and anarchy. If and when he has enough agents in critical places in the military establishment and the police establishment, and some tragic event(s) may be capitalized on, he will act.
If and when his term expires and he has failed to get enough agents into critical positions, and no event has presented itself to be capitalized on, he will wimp out and hope that his gigantic contribution to the advance of Marxism will pay off some time in the future.
He is, after all, a typically devious Marxist, and Marxist to the core.

Vic

So you are willing to see the compromise fail and taxes go up across the board for everyone, and you offer no alternative plan other than to just oppose the compromise. Doesn’t sound very smart to me.

If you think I offer no alternative plan you haven’t read much on this Website.
First of all, until the January swear-ins, the Democrats still hold both houses of congress, and so this baby is theirs, whichever way it goes. The Republican cavalry will not arrive until January in the House. Even then, the Dems still hold a slim lead in the Senate, and they still hold the Presidency.
If Republicans and some Dems are able to break the deal, and the Marxocrats allow the tax cuts to expire, everyone’s taxes will go up. Every worker and every employer in America will see significant tax increases, back to the Clinton-era tax levels, pre-Bush tax cuts, almost ten years ago. This will bring about two things:
- Radical business down-turn and radical increase in unemployment, and;
- voter anger to the point of howling rage against Obama and the Democrats who did this.
The political situation will be so bad for Democrat office holders that many of them may join with Republicans to do anything – including even supporting impeachment proceedings – to keep from suffering political doom in 2012. They will be forced to do whatever is necessary to re-impose the Bush tax cuts, at least, if not even cut taxes, and do it just as quickly as possible. If that means getting rid of Obama, then they will do it.
Republicans need to force an up or down vote solely and exclusively on making the whole of the Bush tax cuts permanent, with no other issues on the table with it. Let it win, or let it loose. If it goes down, then they need to hang it around the necks of the Democrats who sought it, and begin to beat them to death with it. After January they need to try to make the tax cuts permanent, and force the Democrats to oppose them and/or force Obama to veto the effort, again and again and again, just as loudly and publicly as possible.
They need to hammer repeal of Obamacare and all other Obamanations, weekly if necessary, loudly and publicly, and force the Democrats to defend these travesties out loud and on the record. They need to bring the Fair Tax to the floor, pass it, and make Obama veto it, again and again and again. Force the Democrats to either publicly oppose the will of the people, or get on board with the Republicans for their own self-preservation. The argument for the Fair Tax needs to be made as public as possible, so that the people understand it, and so that whoever opposes it will be seen by the public as opposed to simple common sense.
The pressure needs to be put on the bad guys for a change, and kept there until either they explode, or the 2012 elections arrive, whichever comes first. The Tea Party is not over; it is just beginning.
Whatever happens, we the people are not going anywhere. Sooner or later, we will take down whoever opposes the return of our government back to being an American Constitutional government.
Regards,
Vic
