I recently was speaking in Anchorage, Alaska and I had the opportunity to speak to Sarah Palin's Mom and Brother. I shared with them my thoughts about the attacks on Sarah and they were quite interested. They liked my take on things. So the attached article is my thoughts as to why the attacks on Sarah Palin continue and will continue. Also, the Night of December 8th is the National Night of Prayer for Life. Although she is no longer a candidate for vice president, the vitriol continues to spew over the release of her book, "Going Rogue: An American Life." Many think the anti-Sarah sentiment stems from her solid pro-life position but I would like to explore reasons that go way beyond her feelings about abortion. As you look back in history to the late 1960s and 1970s, you see a wave of feminist ideals being sold to women, including the notion that they needed to delay motherhood to get ahead in their careers. Many women bought into this belief that giving birth and career advancement didn’t mix. So what happened? Many women chose the birth control route, delaying marriage and childbirth well into their thirties and even forties. Their biological clocks ticked away and they sacrificed the most fertile time in their lives for career advancement and what they thought would be true happiness. Some, when faced with an unplanned pregnancy they believed would interfere with their careers, chose the abortion route. They sacrificed the life of their unborn child for their own personal career advancement. Now enter Sarah Palin, a woman with a husband, children and a high-profile career. Yes, this hockey Mom went from school board, to mayor, to governor to a vice presidential candidate! And her own unplanned pregnancy ended not in the hands of an abortionist, but in the loving embrace of the Palin family. Now when the women who sacrificed motherhood either by abortion or birth control look at Sarah, they can’t stand her, even if they can’t explain why. Because she was able to have a family and a career, they see her as having the best of both worlds. They see, in this confident, self-possessed, accomplished woman, surrounded by a loving family, everything they gave up. In a nation that has lost more than 50 million children to abortion, we have millions of women who have these repressed feelings. Many have suffered silently from these negative consequences since their abortion. J: I listen to Neal, and I have a love-hate relationship with him while I listen. Anyone who helped develop the Fair Tax can’t be all bad. However, on some topics, and this is one of them, Neal doesn’t know his butt from a hole in the ground. As a professed Libertarian, he has giant a moral blind spot. He won’t even discuss abortion, and for very good reason: his pro-abortion argument is a losing argument, he knows it, and he holds the anti-abortion / pro-life position in complete and utter contempt. He hates even saying the word. Any sentence he utters with the word abortion in it involves a long preparatory pause, followed by a long, slow, grossly exaggerated enunciation of the word that is just dripping with contempt for all those whose moral standards oppose aborting innocent people. He has said that anti-abortionists seek to gain total legal control over a woman’s complete reproductive cycle. Now, we know that that is merely a gross rhetorical exaggeration to slam the opposing argument. However, if we held him to his own debating standard the way he holds his callers to the exact, precise English meaning of their words, then we would have to say that statements like that make him into a flagrant categorical liar. By his own debating standard. But we only hear these statements during his rants because he can not debate abortion with his callers, and so he will not discuss it. On Judao-Christianity, he is somewhat schizophrenic. He defends Christmas, for instance, and public displays and utterances regarding Christmas and Hanukkah. And yet, when it comes to the clear evil of willful, medically unnecessary abortion done on a massive scale, he never fails to publicly express contempt for our deeply held majority Judao-Christian religious teaching, our Judao-Christian Ethos and our American Judao-Christian moral standards. Which begs the question: is he Christian, or anti-Christian? Hard to tell. He is clearly pro-sodomy, although he personally expresses a distaste for homosexuality. That’s the sort of thing Libertarians do. He actually believes that homosexuals were born homosexual, have no choice in the matter, and are condemned thereby to a life of perversion and sin of a sexual nature. They can’t help it; they cannot possibly be chaste like anyone else. They’re born that way. Where’s the evidence? There isn’t any. He probably learned that in school and never gave it any critical thought. And, so long as anyone’s behavior doesn’t touch Neal, Neal will bless that behavior. There is no such thing as clearly defined sin for everyone. There is no common sense of right and wrong that defines us as a distinct people and as a unique nation. Libertarians are thus cooperating agents of the on-going Secularism movement that acts to strip us of our common morality, our Judao-Christian common national religion, any corporate, common or community sense of right versus wrong, and move us toward becoming the new whatever-floats-your-boat, anything-goes, Sodom. Libertarians are dupes, or useful idiots, of evil. The thing I like about Sarah is the more people slam her, ridicule her, ignore her, treat her with contempt and talk her down, the stronger she gets. She doesn’t even have to fight back. All she has to do is act naturally. Barring something really unforeseen, if she runs, she will likely be nominated. If she is nominated, she will win. In my daily work, I still listen to Neal until Rush comes on, and then Sean. During his time slot, Neal is still the best thing out there in my local area, and I do enjoy his common sense economics, and his legal sense. It’s only his root, basic, fundamental immorality I have a problem with. Like I said, anyone who came up with anything like the Fair Tax can’t be all bad. He’s dead wrong about Sarah Palin. This article hits upon much of the reason for the dislike of Gov Palin from liberals, especially liberal women, but I believe the catalyst behind the relentless attacks directed at her comes from another source, and it is this: the Democrats (especially liberals) are terrified at the prospect of a woman breaking new ground (becoming VP or President) from the Republican side of the aisle as opposed from the Democrat side. And what's worse not just any Republican, but in this case a true conservative. This scares them and legitimately so. For if Palin is elected then over a 4 or 8 year period she would likely become a role model for young women and school-aged girls around the country (in spite of the SLIMC and Hollywood and liberal propagandists masquerading as educators). No, not to the same degree as Obama has with blacks, but enough to create panic among liberals. Because they know that if minorities/women start to break toward Republicans, then the liberal agenda would start to fall apart. Therefore, they attack Palin and they attack Clarence Thomas and Condi Rice with far more intensity than they otherwise would (i.e., than they would if Sarah were a man or if Thomas and Rice were white but everything else about them remained basically the same). I think it is this that is driving the vitriol constantly spewed at her and what drove it towards Clarence Thomas (even though he was confirmed they were effectively able to cast him as something other than a "true" black man instead of allowing him to be a role model for blacks and non-blacks). They simply can't afford to lose their hold on reliable liberal voting blocs. Yes the Democrat party would survive but it would do so by having to move much more to the center. To All: This was on my mind, and I couldn’t sleep. Pray for Sarah Palin. Perfection is not of this world, but the next, and everyone is not going to make it into heaven. It all has to do with divisiveness versus inclusiveness. Our religion is divisive. God’s winnowing fork separates the wheat from the Chaff in Matt 3:12 and Luke 3:17. Our ultimate judge separates the sheep from the goats in Matt 25:31-46. So long as evil exists and men have free will, some of us are going to go to heaven, and some of us are going to go to hell. American politics and political directions are, almost definitively, divisive and not inclusive. There will always be political winners and political losers. Somebody is always going to win, and somebody is always going to loose.
Sarah Palin will do fine as long as she stays true to her religious faith. She will win and she will lead us in right ways so long as she does not fall prey to the Leftist Inclusiveness Trap. If she is tempted to try to be many things to many people, if she tries to “Bring Us All Together,” if she seeks to “Represent ALL Of The People,” she must resist that temptation with all her might. It is never easy doing what is right, for doing what is right is never going to please all of the people. A decent American leader cannot represent evil or untruth, or favor dependence over independence. That’s just the way it is. The path from tyranny to liberty is paved with strong decisiveness, and not with compromise. The path from dependence to independence is paved with divisiveness and not with inclusiveness. Some things cannot be compromised; Truth is not something that can be negotiated. The path to heaven involves faith, morality and alignment with the will of God. The politics of making a people or a nation more Godly involves encouraging whatever will strengthen their faith, their morality and their recognition of the will of God. And it means ensuring their free will, which means, encouraging their individual and collective liberty. Men must be free; that means they must be allowed to make their choices and suffer the consequences. Some are always going to choose dependence over independence, and some are always going to seek to ascend to tyranny and conquer liberty, and some are just going to do evil. Perfection is not of this world, but the next, and everyone is not going to make it to heaven. Pray for Sarah Palin, that the Lord increase her discernment, wisdom, decisiveness, and divisiveness. To all: I just finished reading Going Rogue; An American Life, by Sarah Palin, and I updated the Reference Material page to include it. What can I say? Get the book, and read it. Give it to others. Make it a Christmas gift to everyone you’re buying for who can read. Get behind this woman and support her at every opportunity to do so. Look for (or create) T-shirts and bumper stickers and signs. Talk her up at Tea Parties and Town Halls. Talk her up among your e-mail contacts and your blogs and whatever else you do. This is no politician. This is no mere Republican. This is a woman who will kick ass across Party lines, and we got ourselves a whole lot of ass around here that needs some heavy duty kicking. Most political ass in sight needs to be kicked hard. Those who have been with me for awhile know that the primary focus of this site involves the contention between truth and falsehood. A major, perhaps the major political sub-topic in that area, for America, is the political contest between Capitalism and Marxism. Between free markets, and government controlled markets. What we – or, perhaps, most of us in the lower 48 states – seem to have lost track of is the interdependent nature between a free market and individual citizen independence, or, liberty. The two things go together, and depend upon one another. They are mutually inclusive. Whatever injures the free market place similarly injures individual independence, or liberty. You are not free to participate in a free market transaction if the market is not free. To whatever degree the market is controlled, to that same degree do you personally become dependent on someone or something besides yourself. We have been slowly being schmoozed into becoming more and more dependent upon government to “take care of us.” Many of us actually believe that only government can solve economic problems, and we turn our lonely, increasingly dependent eyes toward Washington, the highest level of government, to solve even our simplest problems. Alaskans don’t know how to do that. Alaskans cannot depend on others. They don’t expect to. They don’t know how. They should remind us all of how it once was and how it is supposed to be. We are supposed to take care of ourselves. Patrick Henry’s famous “Give me liberty or give me death!” quotation might be lost on this generation. Do the rest of us still know what liberty is? After all the blood that has been shed to gain it, and to keep it, are we to lose it, not in battle, but in some wimpy, limp-wristed, gradual acquiescence to government power? Is our government to switch from representing us to ruling us? Sarah Palin comes across to us as fresh and new not because she is special, but because she is ordinary, coming, as she does, from a state where liberty (and liberty’s partner responsibility) is ordinary every day practice. You don’t work, you don’t eat. Pull your weight or don’t get paid. You can fish, cut bait, or get off the boat. If you don’t personally do what you’re supposed to do, you freeze, or you starve, or get eaten by a bear, or you give up and limp back down to the lower 48. Ok, maybe that’s a little exaggerated, but you get my point. Sarah Palin is not a professional politician. She is not polished, she is not elitist, she is more at home in Carhartts than in business attire. She would be right at home at your kitchen table over coffee, or out in your yard over burgers while watching the kids. We have got to turn the Marxists out of office. We have to gain control of Congress in order to impeach Obama. God help us, Biden is a quasi-Marxist too, and stupid to boot. But we’ve got to start turning this around, and throwing out bad law and unconstitutional law that is passed by this crowd. We’ve got to stop the government direction, at least. Not just slow it, but stop it, and reverse it. Watch how many Dems commit political suicide by passing Obama’s Marxist travesties, and watch how many of them, after political defeat, wind up with ambassadorships, or cabinet appointments, or new Czar-ships, or megabucks, or cushy jobs with lobbyist firms, or in high paid service to George Soros, or who just quietly disappear. The ends justify the means; you can’t make an omelet without breaking some eggs. Obama’s unread bills will pass. Then, 2010 will be upon them. After we’ve stopped all of this we are going to need a strong Reagan-type Conservative President, and I’m telling you that Sarah Palin is the best man for the job. She has more balls (figuratively speaking) than any other candidate of any political persuasion in sight. I pray that I am not proved wrong by history, but I believe that she is incorruptible. She is one of us. She likes local Town Halls. She likes going one-on-one with lowly citizens. She listens, she learns, and she represents. Who else in politics or high office is doing that today? If you belong to a prayer group, add Sarah’s name and future into your prayer intentions and keep her name constantly before the Lord. Please, pray for Sarah Palin. Some day, God willing, as President, she may lead us all in prayer. Now, that would drive the Marxocrats into a frothy foaming flummox, and it would throw the SLIMC into an absolute cataleptic fit from which they might not recover. We can hope. To all: A horrible dream woke me up, and here I am. Ever since “our” Senate last voted, I keep reading and hearing all these stunned, shocked commentaries regarding the easily predictable 60 votes just cast in the Senate to pass the Obamunism “Health Care” travesty and send it back to the House. What surprises me is how everyone is surprised. It was a foregone conclusion. You say it’s the absolute arrogance involved; you cannot believe anyone could be that stupid; you express shock at how easily and repeatedly Obama and all of his supporters still stand there in the spotlight with their bare faces exposed and tell lie after lie after lie. Don’t they know they are committing political suicide? Why are you surprised? Obama is a MEJTML and so, now, is his whole Party. Lying is what Marxists do. Obama is not stupid. He is ruthless. His lies will never stop. Look back at history’s Marxist tyrants, who broke with all the traditions of Western Civilization and established rigid status-class societies, with the rulers, the government workers and the ordinary citizens forming the three fixed, rigid status classes. Look at who Lenin, Stalin, Mussolini and Hitler surrounded themselves with at the top level of their “revolutions.” They were criminals; perverts; psychopaths, assassins; absolutely ruthless and evil men who would do all the ugly things that needed to be done. Look closely at who Obama surrounds himself with at the top level of his “revolution.” Communists everywhere. A tax evader in charge of the IRS; a twisted pervert in charge of indoctrinating American children in homosexual perversion; etc., etc., etc. What makes you think he is not moving gangsters and assassins into prime control positions in the CIA, FBI, etc., to form his own secret Gestapo? What make you think he might be unlike other Marxist tyrants in that he might not kill off his political opposition in an overt or covert political purge? How is Obama any different – philosophically, politically, morally or in any other way – from Joseph Stalin or Adolph Hitler? His ethos is alien to us. He is not like us. He despises us. We have too many representatives in the House who have morphed into hacks or organized political machines alien to the intent of the House. Two terms are quite enough. We need to reduce as much as possible the political free-for-alls and trickery that comes about with over familiarity with the process and contempt for outsiders. Again, Obama is not stupid. He is Marxist. He is evil. He intends to take over and become the Tyrant. His Party underlings in the Senate and the House are not committing political suicide at all. They will become the new ruling class. At least that is what they are being promised. We cannot let that happen. God bless America.
