(Refuting Perverted Catholicism is another right-column gathering of material, this time refuting false and misleading teaching that “officially” violates what the Catechism, the Councils and the Popes teach us.. Look to the article links in the right column on this webpage for the nitty-gritty details. After you read the content behind any such link you might select, use your browser’s BACK button to return here.)
This site began life as a place to write about Catholic religion and American politics, from a viewpoint that comes from within Catholic American culture. Over time it grew to encompass broader topics covering other religions and other political disciplines. When it started, the main objective was to try to keep Truth at the center, regardless of the directions various discourses, submissions or arguments might lead. We hope that will always remain the case.
So the reason for this particular page, and the collection of the right-column linked articles, stems from the fact that the Catholic Church is and must be recognized as the center of all Truth on earth. If the Catholic Church is shaken, then Truth itself – or how men recognize it – is jeopardized.
As this website developed, it seems to have become our lot to attack untruth more than to defend Truth; maybe because that turned out to be the easier path. Once you know a true doctrine, for instance, via the Catechism, or a Council document, or a formal papal statement on it, and you see something opposing it, it becomes quite easy to go after it and disprove it, frequently in many ways and on multiple grounds.
The line between Church and state keeps getting crossed in this website, because Truth and untruth cross and re-cross that line.
Marxism figures prominently among the topics on this site; Marxism has a political aspect and a theological aspect, in that Marxism opposes and seeks to destroy all religion. That means Marxism opposes Catholicism. Marxism also opposes and seeks to destroy Capitalism, free markets, the family and private property. That means Marxism opposes America.
We can say the same thing about Islam, which, as a theocracy, is more than a mere religion. Islam has a political aspect and a theological aspect, in that Islam opposes and seeks to eliminate all religions other than Islam. That means Islam opposes Catholicism. Islam also opposes and seeks to destroy all forms of civil government other than government by Islamic law. That means Islam opposes America.
Now, we have had some rather heated discussions with fellow Catholics and with fellow Americans, on theological grounds and on Constitutional grounds, about our recommendation to Outlaw Marxism and our recommendation to Outlaw Islam in America.
The bottom line in our argument is that Marxism is a violent call to revolution to eliminate the both the civil and ecclesial order of existence, and the elimination of the Judao-Christian Ethos upon which not only America, but all of Western Civilization is built. And Islam is a violent call to war, to accomplish the exact same thing, also on a global basis.
Here’s what Marxism says it wants to do to us:
The Communists disdain to conceal their views and aims. They openly declare that their ends can be attained only by the forcible overthrow of all existing social conditions. Let the ruling classes tremble at a communist revolution. The proletarians have nothing to lose but their chains. They have a world to win. Proletarians of all countries, unite! – Marx’s & Engle’s Communist Manifesto.
Does any of that sound negotiable? And I submit that Islam is even more violently hostile than Marxism. Adherents are instructed to make war against us (meaning all who stand outside of the religion of Islam) until no religion exists except Islam, in Koran verses 2:193, 8:39 and 9:29.
I don’t know about you, but I don’t like revolution, and I don’t like war. However, I do not intend to give up my religion, and I do not intend to give up my country.
Nevertheless, Marxism and Islam both advance against us under false banners. Decent society is parasitized by the smoothness of the Marxist lie and the smoothness of the Islamic lie. Marxism is seen as just another political viewpoint, among the many, and no real threat to our religion or our form of government. Islam is a religion of peace, full of decent friendly people, and again no threat to our religion or to our form of government.
But Marxist thought creeps into our thought processes, and it infects and anesthetizes our ability to identify it as an enemy. Hence our own political process has incorporated such things as a graduated income tax, public education, support of national and even international unions, a central bank, and more; ideas that came not from our founding documents, but from the Communist Manifesto. And now we seem to be addicted to them.
And Islam forms larger and larger enclaves of Moslems who will not assimilate into the larger host culture, and who become more fiercely protective of territory and less peaceful to their neighbors as their enclaves grow. They eventually claim sovereign territory of their host nation as their own, they control it, and they seek to expand it. It has happened all over Europe, and there is no reason to believe it is not happening here.
Marxism and Islam, once powerful conquering forces in the world, have morphed into parasitic social infections that nibble away at liberty everywhere, always ready to rise up and resort to violence when they sense they are strong enough and the host nation is weakened enough. Marxism and Islam are both false and fraudulent systems. Even at the highest points of their successes in their histories, they were not what they advertised themselves to be. See the Refuting Marx page and the Refuting Mohammed page to see them for the hoaxes that they are, and were from the beginning.
Defending Truth is what this site is about, and we have learned that the best way to defend is to relentlessly attack the enemy and give him no rest. Ronald Reagan said “If we loose freedom here there is no place to escape to. This is the last stand on earth.” To take it a step farther, the Catholic Church, established by Christ Himself, is the ultimate steward and protector of the Gospel, and thus the center of all Truth to be handed on to man. If that stewardship is compromised, if that teaching is corrupted, then, all is lost, for there is nowhere else on earth for man to turn for ultimate Truth.
Yet today we see the attack on Catholic catechesis in almost every area the Church touches on. Promotion of a feminine priesthood, a non-celibate priesthood, acceptance of contraception, a softened teaching on abortion, corruption of the liturgy, corruption even of the language used in Scripture, corruption of papal and council teachings, corrupted forms of ecumenism and inclusiveness, and everywhere, a softening of the message. From the sacredness and Divinity of the Eucharist, to a lessening of importance of confession, to even the design of holy places, Catholicism seems to be being blended into an unrecognizable denomination among the many, all seen to be somehow equal. It is the slow Democratization of His Church.
We have experienced flagrantly false “Catholic” teaching up close and personal, as you can see in many of the linked articles in the right column of this page. We hope that others who are currently in the same teaching programs might submit their updated input here after they finish their studies, so we can see the current teaching situation in our archdiocese and others.
The One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church is and must remain the center of all Truth on earth, until He comes again. To that end, we will continue to attack falsehood wherever we see it.
Seek the Truth; find the Way; live the Life. Please God, and live forever.

Make up your mind!
Is this about Catholicism, or is it about politics?!!!
What do Marxism and Islam have to do with Catholicism?
I thought this was going to be about Catholicism. You need to change the title.

Ted:
It’s about our culture, and culture is a combination of religion and politics.
We do not properly leave our religion behind when we step out into the larger world; we take it with us. I am catholic at home, in Church, at work and out and about in public, and I am Catholic in the voting booth, the jury box, or wherever I am. That never, ever changes.
Right now, the two biggest threats to my religion (and my freedom) are Marxism and Islam, and I therefore attack them, at every opportunity. Marxism and Islam are threats to all religion, and to all freedom. They each have a goal of global conquest that involves the crushing of all other religions and all other forms of authority, government and civil law. And they are both utterly ruthless in how they seek to accomplish that goal.
Catholicism is something to be lived, not something to just claim. Culture is not a spectator sport. You are supposed to engage culture, not just observe it. Culture challenges and engages us all, and that engagement takes place on a two-way street. I also challenge and engage culture. So should you.
If we don’t do it, who will?
Regards,
Vic
