I sincerely apologize to all who saw any of this.

This morning I checked my email, and it had a bunch of FaceBook entries that said “Vic Biorseth commented your link”, and “Vic Biorseth commented on your status”, and “Vic Biorseth commented on your Wall Post”, which got my attention, because, I am me, after all, unless I’ve been cloned or something.
I then went to my FaceBook page and saw the most horrendous comments, slurs and insults, all over the place. I figured someone hacked my password. First thing, I changed my password, and began deleting all of these disgusting submissions. While I was doing that, more suddenly appeared. I deleted them also; but they kept coming.
Then, there was a pause, and one of the comments that came in from “me” said “Where did my entries go?” Which I promptly deleted. A minute or so later, I saw a “Like” appear – a “Vic Biorseth Likes This” attached to the entry I was looking at.
I took that as a clue to where these were coming from, but I didn’t fully understand it until later while making my deliveries.
Anyway, I sent a message to FaceBook indicating that someone was making submissions on comments on my wall as if they were me, and even using my FaceBook profile picture, as well as my name; that I had changed my password and it was still happening, so, what was the deal here. Then I went to work.
Now I’m home, and yep, there were more of them out there. The FaceBook team sent me an e-mail thanking me for my feedback, and directing me to various help and how-to parts of FaceBook, and basically just showed that they are pretty useless in this kind of situation.
What I had thought about at work today was that, the day before, I had added a new SBI! feature to all my personal website pages – a FaceBook “Like” button for people to click on if they liked what they read. When I looked at my site, I saw also a little “Send” button right next to the “Like” button. I clicked it and it provided an opportunity to comment in FaceBook.
Now, I admit I don’t know how this malicious turkey got to make comments on my wall using my name and my profile picture, but I’m pretty sure the new SBI! feature was part of the path to getting it done. So, I disabled the “Like” button on all my pages. Then, I deleted all the remaining stupid comments this character did as if he or she were me.
Maybe the SBI! “Like” feature is not quite ready for prime time. Anyway, I’m not using it any more.
It’s been an hour or so, and I haven’t seen any new spurious submissions from “me.”
Please accept my humble apologies for any insults or vulgarities aimed your way, or that appeared anywhere in my name. It wasn’t really me; I would not say such things.
The two most likely suspects in FaceBook are Mohammadi Hedieh, and Shahrokh Sharifrazy, who made those kinds of comments before on my wall, and got themselves blocked.
But there are many others who got too flummoxed and ruffled to continue reasoned civil discourse on various pages on my website; some of them Marxists, some of them Moslems, some of them run-of-the-mill Democrats, some of them just aimless, lost beings. Whenever the discourse degenerates to insults or vulgarity or just mindless babbling, on my site, the discourse ends, and further submissions are simply ignored, until and uless they become civil again, and present a coherent argument that may be reasonably responded to.
What I picture is a pitiful, friendless, anti-social but very lonely and isolated, alienated and angry person. Please pray for him or her.
Regards,
Vic

SBI! has looked into it, and made some progress and some discoveries. There is a form of hacking that is common that may have been going on coincidentally at the same time that I established the new LIKE button on my site, and took off the old SHARE button that used to be in the right hand column.
Then, when I was more aware of the problem, I got rid of the LIKE button at the top center, and put the old SHARE button back. This was while the problem was going on.
SBI! has determined that the SHARE button at the bottom of every page is working fine. But when one of them clicked my self-initiated SHARE button, it resulted in immediately putting obscenities on her FaceBook wall. Somehow my SHARE button had gotten infected or something. So, now, no more SHARE button in the right hand column.
When I have time to work with someone else using two computers and two FaceBook accounts, I will try re-installing the SBI! LIKE button, without opportunity to comment, and see what transpires from my computer, and from someone else's computer, using that LIKE button.
In the meantime, beware; there is a malicious foul-mouthed hacker lurking out there somewhere.
Regards,
Vic
Please note the language and tone already established in this Website. This is not the place to stack up vulgar one-liners and crude rejoinders. While you may support, oppose or introduce any position or argument, your comments must meet our standards of logical rigor and of civil discourse. We will not participate in trading insults, and we will not tolerate participants trading insults with each other. Participants should not be thin-skinned or over sensitive to criticism, but should be prepared to defend their arguments when challenged. If you don’t really have a coherent argument or counter-argument of your own, sit down and don’t embarrass yourself. If you have something serious to contribute to the conversation, please keep it civil. We apologize to religious conservative thinkers for the need to even say these things.
