ACLU
Anti-CHRISTian Litigation Union
Vic Biorseth, http://www.Thinking-Catholic-Strategic-Center.com
Whenever your mouse passes over or pauses on the sarcastic-editorial abbreviation ACLU, anywhere in the Thinking Catholic Strategic Center website, the words 'Anti-CHRISTian Litigation Union should pop up in your browser's navigation bar, so you don't need to actually click on it every time just to see what it means. Just put your mouse on it without clicking, and look at your navigation bar. (Use your browser's Back button to return.)
(Note: Once upon a time, this rollover-link code was universal, and it would work everywhere. But systems, browsers, add-ons, firewalls, third-party blockers and filters, changes and upgrades wait for no man. Today there is a hugely diverse set of combinations of hardware and software out there accessing the internet. If the rollover-link feature doesn’t work for you, try tweaking or temporarily turning off your popup-blocker and/or cookie suppression. Once you get it to work, you need to experiment with your system security settings to get the exact security level you want. Everything is a compromise of some sort, and the required setting changes may not be worth it for you just for this one feature on just this one website.)
Even the briefest, most cursory examination of ACLU history and cases will reveal an obsessive hatred for any open religious expression in public by Christians in general and Catholics in particular. Suppression of open Christianity appears to be the main goal that sets the priorities driving the entire agenda of the ACLU. Since the First Amendment of our Constitution grants us all the right to freedom of religious expression, the ACLU's aggressive and proactive agenda of legal suppression, censorship and religious intolerance of open Christian expression makes the ACLU a distinctly un-American organization.
The ACLU's blind hatred for Jesus Christ and for Christianity can only be understood as being part and parcel to a secularist, i.e., aggressive atheistic religious proselytizing motive, probably associated with a philosophy of Marxism, which is completely dependent upon materialistic atheism and cannot advance in the close company of Christian belief.
The completely false smoke-screen lie the ACLU operates behind is the purported "Constitutional Principle" of Separation of Church and State, which, obviously, is not a Constitutional Principle since it is not even addressed anywhere in the Constitution. (See the link.) This Leftist-invented legal "Principle" is much used by Leftist-Marxists for censoring or suppressing free and open Christian expression, not only in the public square, but in education, in broadcasting, in Congress, in organizations like the Boy Scouts - the list is endless.
Nevertheless, I submit that our Constitution is either a fixed legal document that says very specific legal things, or it is nothing.
We are either a nation of laws and not merely of men, or, we are a nation of whim and fashion and fad and impulse. Which is to say, cruising into eventual tyranny.

This is crazy. The ACLU exists to protect the civil liberties of citizens. The only time the ACLU gets involved in religion is when the state tries to impose religion on the citizens. It is the state the ACLU keeps in check, not any religion. If it wasn’t for the ACLU we would still have blue laws and probably prohibition among other legal catastrophes. You should acknowledge the truth about the ACLU instead of doing a hit peace on it. It’s Teabagger-thinking like this that makes the Republicans seek a Constitutional Amendment to get us out of the financial mess they put us in.

Permit me to disagree. The only civil liberties the ACLU ever protects involves the perceived or invented special rights of various kinds of perverts or others outside the mainstream, including most especially atheists. The record is quite clear that the ACLU systematically opposes all public exercise or free expression of Christian religion, despite the clear right to free religious exercise established in the First Amendment. The ACLU is therefore anti-American.
Blue laws, prohibition, etc., have always been most properly addressed in local law, not federal law. If a state or locality wants to pass such laws, that is their business, not that of the ACLU. These things should not even be addressed at the federal level.
Common sense tells us that a balanced budget, for an individual or for a nation, is just a practical necessity that needs no law or amendment. But, you see, the Marxists – I mean the Democrats – are in charge of one house of Congress and the White House, and that means that practicality and common sense have left the arena. We all know how much the Democrats despise the notion of a balanced national budget, and any restraints at all on their government spending power. Thank you for reminding us.
The Declaration of Independence provides an explanation of the purpose of our government, the rights established by God, and the Divine ground of being for our national government. So, let me ask you, what is your purpose for being, and what, exactly, is the purpose for being of the ACLU?
Regards,
Vic
