Did you ever try to go back through your memory to recall when you first encountered any of these finally recognized, government-growing, liberty-stifling, purely political falsehoods?
I remember ...
- My first trip to Florida as a teenager, the shock of seeing black and white public drinking fountains, the slow beginnings of their elimination, and Eisenhauer's de-segregation and re-integration of the government. (The previously racially integrated American government had been re-segregated by Woodrow Wilson).
- The shock of the victorious Fidel Castro announcing that he was a Marxist-Leninist, after defeating the gangster regime of Batista. And the even greater shock of how the American news media were all on board with that, and showered Castro (and Marxism-Leninism) with praise and adulation.
Much of the South and some of the North were still emotionally and politically racially segregationist, but racial segregation was on the way out, at least in the predominant white mindset, all across the nation. That's not to say there wasn't any racism, but that its days were already numbered. There always was and likely always will be some racism to be found in all races, but America, as a nation, was already opposing and condemning it, way back in the '50s.
And black slavery was opposed with the arrival of the first slave ships and the birth of the abolition movement, thwarted though it was by the British crown.
Southern Democrat Governors standing in schoolhouse doors and all the Democrats with the clubs, firehoses and police dogs at Selma were already the minority-on-the-way-out by the '60s.
In the early '60s when I was deployed in West Germany, I remember the Stars and Stripes, the military newspaper, dropping the Beetle Baily cartoon, because it had a black lieutenant with an afro so large that his helmet was perched on it about two feet over the top of his head. And that was considered to be demeaning of black people or something.
But those gigantic afros really were popular back in those days, and sometimes they were so large they barely fit in a car. How was that not a subject to be poked fun at and laughed about?
The Marxism-loving press was already beginning to go Woke, long before Woke became a recognized thing. Including the military press.
It was taking a good thing too far.
The Communist "Peacenik" movement of the '60s superheated the whole "taking it too far" trend. It was actually trying to become an actual Marxist-Leninist revolution but failing. We the people just wouldn't join it, and it just became a bunch of riots with a few bombings and murders here and there. The most lasting harm it did to America was in how it made academia, Hollywood and the whole news media more rabidly and more openly anti-American, anti-white, anti-property, anti-bougeois middle-class and just generally anti-majority.
Anti-normalcy, in other words. Anti status-quo. Revolutionary.
It transformed the anti-American Democrat (and Confederate) Party into the totally Marxist anti-American Marxocrat Party we see today. The Party that created the KKK and that once sponsored anti-black, anti-King racism quite suddenly became the nation's preeminent anti-white racist Political Party. Say thank you to George Soros and Saul Alinsky, and to the black fatherhood and black family destroying civil rights acts of '64 and '65.
Those were the days when they began banning all the classic books most beloved of my boyhood, from authors ranging from Samuel Clemens to Jack London. Clemens because he used the commonly-used-in-his-day word nigger in his books, and London because his books indicated that wolves and wolf packs could actually be dangerous rather than cuddly, and protected, with "rights". But it didn't end there. Gone with the Wind, both the book and the move, are now banned. And Disney's Song of the South.
In the '80s the Marxocrats were warning of Global Cooling and planning to salt the polar icecaps with black soot to better hold the sun's heat and stave off a life-on-earth-terminating ice-age. No, really. Would they lie? Then, they switched to Global Warming, and the need to limit greenhouse gasses like CO2 and to eliminate the internal combustion engine to save all life on earth from baking to death. No, seriously. And that's not all. See the Eco-Nazi page for a blue million threats to life on earth, all resolvable, but only if you vote Marxocrat.
Today its all called Climate Change, still a threat to life on earth unless you vote Marxocrat. I call it Climate Communism, or Globalism, or New World Order-ism.
Granted, Cultural Marxism, planting the seeds of this Cultural Revolution, was feeding and nurturing all of this before most of us were born. But if it all got a giant boost in the '60s, that boost pales in comparison to how it is rocketing today.
Nothing is real anymore; you can't even tell if the stranger you're looking at is a real male or a real female, and, maybe, neither can they.
As if DEI trumping actual qualifications for everything from school admissions to hiring airline pilots and entry into the military, it gets worse. We can't even watch TV very long without seeing trannies or drag queens or fat, ugly people in adds of all kinds, and the stars and most of the casts of all popular entertainment these days are disproportionately blacks or "people of color". You can't even watch a news show without having to see some advertisement that just has to highlight some homosexual kissing and caressing.
And if we're disgusted by it, we're supposed to be ashamed of that as if we were the wierdos and not them. We're being almost forced to watch it and to approve of it, or be condemned ourselves, as if sexual disorders and perversions were now the normal order of things and opposition to them were the only abnormality.
When the President, the Vice President, most of both houses of Congress, some Supreme Court Justices, lots of State Governments, most City governments, most Protestants, the Pope of the Catholic Church, the UN and the EU all believe (or would have us believe that they believe) in the scientific existence of transgenders and the need to keep learning all the brand new gender-pronouns as they just magically go POOF and pop into being, it would seem that the whole elite class of humanity has gone insane.
Jesus Christ, aka The Truth, is the Creator of Reality, i.e., all of existence. [John 1:1-14]
Whatever is real is of God. Whatever is not real is of Satan, aka, The Father Of Lies.
All of Scientism is of Satan.
The Islamo-Commie-Homo movement is also of Satan.
And here we all stand, between a rock and a hard place.
What - or rather, Who - are you going to believe?
The only thing Truth has going for Him in this world is us.
The restoration of Truth = Reality in the hearts and minds of men is now totally dependent upon you and me; if we don't do it, it won't get done.
